Ways to support The Overstory

The Overstory provides information on agroforestry, reforestation, and sustainable agriculture free of charge to people in 180 countries. It has been distributed since March 1998 as a service of Agroforestry Net, Inc. (agroforestry.net), with financial support provided through individual donations. Agroforestry Net, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization.

As of April 2006 The Overstory has:

  • Delivered 170 biweekly editions
  • Subscribed over 8,000 people in 180 countries
  • Published the work of over 80 authors in 24 countries
  • Sent all editions on schedule, every time
  • Kept all subscriber information strictly confidential

Donations

Your support is needed to help cover internet costs (ISP connection, web site), and computer costs such as e-mail mailing list software. We also have special projects planned that require additional funding including (in order of priority):

  1. Translation of The Overstory to Spanish and French
  2. Improved access to past editions on the web site through a searchable database
  3. Continuing to distribute The Overstory ejournal

Any donation amount is welcome ($5, $10, $20, $50, $__ ).
