Opening Ceremony, Kahalu‘u, Kona

The workshop opening ceremony took place on the grounds of the Outrigger Keauhou Beach Hotel in Kahalu‘u, Kona. Na Wai Iwi Ola, a Hawaiian cultural group, performed several dances related to the themes of balance in nature, and whole, natural systems. Kumu Keala Ching spoke about Hawaiian perspectives on environmental stewardship.
