Farm Tour
Jack Masters, Airai, Palau

Our first visit on this rainy afternoon is Jack Masters' farm, featuring bananas, noni, betel nut, and taro.

Noni, which currently has good market potential in Palau is interplanted amongst banana and sugarcane.

Weeds are hand cleared on the farm, rather than using herbicides.

Jack Masters discusses agroforestry issues with Dr. Diane Ragone, a speaker and workshop organizer.

Dr. Harley Manner photographs Cyrtosperma taro agroforest, with Colocasia taro in the foreground.
